Misprint Volume 7 Number 1

September 2012

Misprint 20th Issue

Volume 6 Number 2, 2011
This issue, our 20th, has one of my favorite covers. It also has the How Shit Works: Austin center spread. Click the image above for a larger version, or just click here.

Misprint Summer/5th Anniversary Issue

Volume 6 Number 1, 2010

Misprint SXSW Squid Issue

Volume 3 Number 5, 2010

Misprint End Live Music Issue

Volume 5 Number 2, 2009
This stellar issue contains a center spread that I had floating around in my head for several years. The Battle for Red River (upon its release) pretty much captured everything that was happening and changing on that important street. It also have me the opportunity to show off my love of isotypography, maps and military strategy. Click the map above for a larger view or just check it out here. This also is the first issue to have shit hot Pantone Warm Red ink as the number 2 color.

Misprint Hard Times Issue

Volume 5 Number 1, 2009
For this issue, to hit home the theme of economic hardship, we took a break from printing in Pantone brown for a much more economical gravel gray. Also, apparently somebody ripped out the Misprint Scrip and tried to buy a beer with it at the release party.

Misprint Texas Issue

Volume 4 Number 2, 2009

Misprint Grown Up Issue

Volume 4 Number 1, 2008
This issue, a personal favorite of mine, includes the very awesome 4 Years of Hard Austin Living body chart. Click through the above image for a nice larger version, or just check it out here. Ailments and afflictions are all 100% true (sort of) and happened either to my friends or me.

Misprint Decadence Issue

Volume 3 Number 1, 2007
To kick off volume 3 I updated the size to feel less “photocopied zine”. Basically all that took was adding 3/4 of an inch to the width. The modification to the size, plus a slight typographic refresh, is still used in the current issues of Misprint.
